4 Reasons Why I Love Filming Weddings

I’ve been filming weddings in SoCal and beyond for a couple of years now, and to say wedding days light me up would be a huge understatement. Here are the top 4 reasons why I love filming weddings.

1. Literally, Love Stories.

Who doesn’t love “love?” Weddings are such an emotional event and I am a sucker for love and commitment. Not a single wedding has passed that hasn’t caused me to reminisce about my own wedding and the beautiful journey my wife and I have been through.

Those special “I do” moments always get me, because as the lovebirds say their vows for the first time, they mark the beginning of a lifetime of living out those special vows.

2. Special Moments.

As the wedding videographer, I get to witness all the close, intimate moments that the majority of guests miss out on (feels very VIP if you ask me). From the first look, to the vows, to the dance floor shenanigans (isn’t this the best part of the wedding?), there are so many memories being made and it's still amazing to me that I get to take fleeting moments and make them eternal.

3. The People.

Above all, I love working with my wedding clients and their families. They are always so kind, trusting, and fun to work with. It's such a pleasure to be trusted with such a tedious task on their big day and to create something special for them that they will be able to cherish for years to come.

And through all the planning and celebrating, it turns out that wedding clients just become good friends!

4. Travel.

One of the great things about filming weddings is that they often take place in unique and beautiful locations. It's such a treat to get to travel to new places and capture the beauty, culture, and vibrancy of those locations in the wedding video. My favorite wedding destination so far has been the city of Ravello on the Amalfi Coast.

Weddings are super rad and I have yet to not enjoy a wedding. You can find me behind the camera beaming ear to ear and taking a short break to bust some moves on the dance floor!
